Join us for some fun in the mud at 10:00am (Mother Earth)! Team Name: SDA Mud Masters
Entry Fee: 65.00 per person – included is a gritty goddess custom designed shirt, finisher’s item, complimentary post-race food and cold beer… and the great gritty course. Check it out at www.grittygoddess.com.
What is it exactly? It’s a 5K obstacle course built just for women, no matter your age, shape, size or athletic ability. It’s a way to get back to nature, and reconnect with your inner goddess. And it’s non-competitive, so you can take your sweet time, have fun, and enjoy every moment with your bosom buddies!
Yes, it’s gritty too. There will be mud, sand, foam and water involved (we said “get back to nature”), and some other, more colorful goop as well – so leave your Marchesa gown and Jimmy Choos at home. You’ll also be required to run, crawl, climb, slide, balance, hoist, swing, stretch, and make your body do things it may not usually do. That’s all part of the fun!

She was born and raised in Jefferson City, Missouri and left to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Spelman College. She graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics and a Minor in Dance. Upon graduating, with no real plans in mind, she came to Houston and planted her roots. She has been married for 16 years and enjoys being a mom to her three sons, ages 15, 14 and 9. About the Presenter:
Matt Handal was a marketer submitting boilerplate proposal and materials that were indistinguishable from his competitors’. He had no idea how to convince new clients to buy his firm’s services. And worst of all, nobody would listen to him.
One day, he stumbled upon some academic research on how people really make decisions. Since then, he’s helped firms beat incumbents, secured sole-source contracts from government clients, written one of the most popular books about proposal writing, and people even fly him across the country to teach them how to apply Mind Marketing to their business.
